If your AI is an Amnesiac Intern or Junior Developer, they're going to need onboarding to your project. Since every fresh batch of Interns or new team members starts with a blank slate, you need re-usable onboarding material.

The form that material takes will vary by the kind of work you're doing. It could be:

• Information about your company and products
• Customer personas
• System architecture
• Team norms and processes
• Style guide (your company's, or your personal style)
• Brand guidelines

Point is, the AI needs this context in every new conversation, so keep it someplace handy.

There are many ways of organizing it.

Some people would like you to put this in a single file (or one per directory) called AGENTS.md, or CLAUDE.md
